Fee-Based Financial Planning
Financial Planning is where we focus on the big-picture and how all the different pieces fit together. I prefer to take a measured, thoughtful approach - one that is grounded in reality and gives you the best chance of meeting your financial goals and objectives. Process
Step 1 - Initial Interview: This is our first meeting where we decide together if Financial Planning is right for you and your situation. We figure out if we think we can help you and you decide if you want our help.
Step 2 - Data Gathering: Everyone is different, so it's important for me to learn as much about you as possible. What are your goals? Where would you like to be in 10 to 20 years? What financial resources do you already have in place? The more I get to know about you, the more insightful my recommendations and advice will be.
Step 3 - Analysis and Strategy: Together we'll prioritize your goals and turn them into clear, measurable objectives. That way you can see how even the biggest challenges - like paying off your mortgage or retiring early - can be accomplished.
Step 4 - Plan Presentation: We present the final Recommended Financial Plan to you. We help you understand how the different recommendations fit together and what professionals (if any) will need to be involved to execute the changes.
Step 5 - Implementation: Next, depending on our relationships*, I can identify and offer some insurance and financial products to help you meet your goals and needs. I can even consult with your tax and legal advisors to make sure our efforts fit in with your overall plans.
Step 6 - Review and Monitor: Each year you decide if you wish to renew the plan. If so, we provide ongoing service by completing a new Financial Plan as your needs and situation change over time. I'll work with you over the years to help keep your Financial Plan on track with your changing needs.
Pricing
Most clients choose to pay their Financial Planning fee monthly over the course of a year-long contract. We have three basic packages: Young Professional (available for those 35 years old and under. Not available for business owners or those with extensive stock options), Standard Plan, and Comprehensive Plan.
Young Professional - Starts at $190/mo. Second Plan Renewal: $170/mo. Financial Maintenance (3rd plan +): $150/mo.
Standard Plan - Starts at $250/mo. Second Plan Renewal: $225/mo. Financial Maintenance (3rd plan +): $200/mo.
Comprehensive Plan - Starts at $500/mo. Second Plan Renewal: $450/mo. Financial Maintenance (3rd plan +): $400/mo.
The price is determined based on the complexity of your situation and will be determined during Step 1 - Initial Interview. Certain situations and complexities will fall below, between, or above packages and the pricing will be adjusted to reflect that. Most clients will also see their fee go down in year two if/when they renew their Financial Plan. Also, clients can start with one package and then choose a different package when renewing their plan in future years. Plans will be delivered within 9 months and Fiduciary duty ends at that time.
*As a Financial Adviser with Eagle Strategies LLC, I can offer fee-based investment advisory services, while as an agent with New York Life Insurance Company and Registered Representative with NYLIFE Securities LLC, I can offer commission-based product sales. Clients can choose to do business with me for the advisory services only, to implement product sales, neither, or both.
